Sharing With Rolpa Rukum Snaps

Being an Engineer of Hydrology, I get the pleasure of traveling to many parts of Nepal and rivers and valleys; all of them combined with the rural folks and culture, just simply multiplies my pleasure. You feel you are on top of the world, outside the world actually. At absolute please and mind blowing beauty. I think that says everything about our country. Beauty and Peace.

At work, the most fun begins with my camera rather than the work. Just don’t tell my boss though! LOL !! There is so much beauty right here in our country, many of us don’t get to see perhaps we don’t have time or we aren’t encourage enough. I hope some of the city folks will visit where their daddy or granddaddy grew up or even actually where they were born, for I know nearly 40% or even more of the Kathmandu-Wallas were not born there!!

These pics were were on my hard disk and thought I share here with you.

I hope some of you will enjoy it or perhaps remind you what your/our country holds not at the heart of busy places like Kathmandu, but beyond.

Libang Area : Ajambari Commune

Look above for a pretty tool all made of Nature. No nails up here in the mountains, as long as it works, we love it NATURALLY. That’s our country, that’s our LIBANG, ROLPA and pretty much Nepali Villages.

Well, I have tried my best to cover using one or two photos of many areas nearby the regions mostly including Libang, and some to Ajambari and even an apple tree and Traditional Oil Expeller made of wood is here. Think about organic food production ? Is that possible for Nepal ?

As for the photos, which one is your fav and have you visited these areas ?

Some say that Libang is the birth place for the people’s movement and the true beauty of this place can never be captured by a camera. You can see the Entrance Gate and Art in Dry Stone Masonry as well.

My fav is the pond and those beautiful houses with great villagers who never give up — I can never forget the smiles of the villagers here. They are hard working and very simple minded folks very hard to find else where like in crowded places such as the lovely Kathmandu ?

I believe, there are many empty areas around here, if
roads were to reach even a few feet away from the backyards of these folks, Agriculture could boost their lives. It’s just difficult to get to this place, but once you get up here, you are in a different world – a world of peace.

Rolpa Rukkum didn’t get much attention when the country went to war. But today, it receives good amount of tourists.

I know that Annapurna range will always be the #1 trekking area in our country, but Rolpa and Rukkum region won’t be any further sooner; for it has it’s one unique flavor for those who seek the distance.

I find the difference between Annapurna Trek and Rolpa Rukkum as the difference of seeing Villagers vs mountains. But the later too is included in Rolpa Rukkum. I believe roads to these hilly regions will surely advance the tourism business in this area. I hope the Nepali ROAD Department is listening to not me, but the need of the villagers who live here.

And many thanks to those who enjoyed the Photos on Lamjung which I had requested my friend Indu to upload. If you haven’t seen them, just search here.

Thank you.

Also many thanks to the site admin for allowing me to upload photos directly here. Hope you do the same, please share me your photos. Thanks.
