Everest has always been the destination for extreme adventure seekers that come to this country. It’s not only about the height or altitude rather one’s willingness to go beyond what many can not imagine or embrace. Climbing a mountain is a serious business, and there aren’t many adventure lovers unknown to that fact. Every year, there have been many fetalities, and even death on Everest many of which are related to bad weather or often just out of luck. Everest will always be there for those to break records, to test their ability, to test their power. Believe it on, for many, climbing Everest is much bigger than winning the medal in a Olympic.
Last year, a Japanese had broken the world record by climbing at 71 years of age.

Mr. Yanagisawa, aprofessor, climbed Everest because of his love for the mountain.

Many medals and recognizability follows to those who go distance.
But Nepal Government has much to do in terms of creating packages for those who have travelled far from their country with only one hope – “Climb Everest – I don’t care about my age!”
Some of the these can be done by the Government.
- Allow these record holders who increase the profile Nepal by being in many news and media such as CNN, BBC and even on news papers across the world.
- Give them and their family FREE TREKKING PERMIT for all mountains in Nepal and something similar.
- Honor them with Gold Medal
- Write a book about them.
- Help them in other ways such as financially, after all climbing Everest is a deadly price tag often as much as $50K
Before I go, just one quick note.
Did you know that Majority of Japanese come to Nepal for trekking and Mount Everest Expedition.
A few facts about the New Record Holder, Mr. Min Bahadur Sherchan
- He will be turning 77 years with a few weeks, and might do it again to prove to all mankind that Age can’t defy boundaries and perhaps Age isn’t what makes one Strong or Weak.
- He did to to inspire other Nepalese to climb.
