Nepal Should Tieup With Youtube
Nepal Should Tieup With Youtube
I’ve been writing one two many posts here requesting our Tourism Organization to advertise or even create channel on Youtube and thought I make this final request.
If we need to learn from other countries, we can learn from our next door neighbor, India, who, has recently tiedup with youtube to present Films with an aim of promoting the region’s tourism, informing public about unique culture and traditions that the country offers to travellers. They call it “Incredible India Channel”. Whether the Channel will be successful or not, but it is definately a move in the right direction. Where are the online users these days? Many agree that web has now become an interactive platform of learning and sharing knowledge through visual and audio media. Youtube.com has a huge user-base and people turn to it for fun, to learn and share. In a nutshell, WEB is the VIDEO today!
If we work a little harder, we could do a whole lot more with less. A Channel alone won’t be enough. We would also need to advertise. The minimum budget is US$ 25K for ads /partnering with youtube. Considering the amount of donations that is poured into Nepal by other countries, it’s not hard to lobby with those who get that money and use it for tourism.
Lets go Nepal. Go where more and more users are watching, interacting and learning about the world. Many travellers, Nepalese, friends of Nepal, and this site have done what they could do, but a big push from the Nepal Government would go far.
Nepal needs to grab the advantage of online promotion which is already available and affordable. What are you waiting for?
