The Need For Nepali Journalists and Bloggers to Focus Else Where

We, The Nepalese love politics as much as we hate it; when our expectations are dumped by our leaders we make and the leaders we choose we love’um and when a beautiful gift is on our hand we hate’um for not knowing what the gift is.

Today is a result of years of bloody war. We never had a peace like this. Is this a gift? So it has to be now, through our individual efforts, country moves forward. The land never needed politics, we asked for it, all of us did or got involved with it directly or indirectly and we continue to do so. Reading newspapers or any other media full of politics are our indirect contributions!

If we’re to ask ourselves just how many of us are keen on writting about politics, the answer would not stagger us, for most of us know, we love to write for the demand of our readers. And at the present context of Nepal, it’s all about Politics. But, is there a need to write something that our *Land* wants instead of our readers? Is it worth making a video where land and animals of Nepal are seen instead of Meaningless Empty Roads made by Political Strikes? Is it worth feeling words of our politicians vs the sounds of the wind on our Shangrilla? Are we writing too much of something to please our readers? Are we glued to politics? When is enough is enough? What kind of inspirations are we giving to the new generation of Jouranalists and New Leaders? Are these questions worth asking? You could count us for writing this post which still talks about Nepali politics!

Although we do not have any surveys, we can agree on one thing : Too much sugar is bitter!

It’s when a country goes through crises we get lost in the track and we need someone to put us back on the track. We need our politicians besides us like a pal. If you are news writer, it is time to stop writing for those who pay you, it’s time to report news exactly as they occur. If you are writing about Politics, its time to write something else, perhaps about the people who never have their voices being heard. May we suggest you all so called Nepali Jouranalists move out of Kathmandu, take a tour into the villages of Nepal and bring some voices of those people instead of dirty politics from Kathmandu?
Are the days coming when readers will start moving away from politically driven media to else where?

Who will be the first Nepali Jouranalist to focus entirely on other topics such as country’s key issues for development like poverty, education, health, tourism, employment and etc, but No Politics! Also asking all readers to stay away from politics until Nepal Votes! Too much talking and writing, and seeing little actions may drive the country back on the loop and If dooms days are ahead of us, they will be because of our actions.
