3 Sites With Large Size Photos of Nepal

I have been doing a bit of a search on the Internet to help people find out where the quality, large size photos about Nepal are. Most people would tell me that I seem to hate welcomenepal.com, but that’s not the truth. But the fact is, site really fails to provide enough photos of large quality and Multimedia. Files like .doc, .xls are for the 20th century! You now need videos, slide shows, pie charts, bars and graphs and more when you have the budget that is more than the budget of a Ministry of Finance of a Country!

My desire is to push our organizations to the edge, for they have enough resource but need someone to pinch them when they fall a sleep while at work!

Are you sleeping right now ?
Photos/Pictures worth more than words, I think I heard that as a quote or as a lesson when I was in High School in Nepal. Why is it so G*d D***mn impossible for our NTB to not provide the multimedia that is required to show the beauty of Nepal. If you look at their site, it is all confusing to users. Try to navigate the site as a user and see what happens, and and If I am wrong, go ahead slap as a comment to this post. Yes, it does have tons of contents, but it makes people lost inside that giant site. How can you keep users inside your site, move easily and make them feel comfortable. A site Path ?

I think I wrote an article here about getting lost inside welcomenepal.com, it’s true, go dig it on this site. You might get lost there, and if you happen to do so, please let me know, where you got lost. I get lost when I visit a particular section and I am looking for some photos and I can’t find. Also the site hasn’t been complete done. E.g. I went to http://www.welcomenepal.com/brand/destinations_rural_tourism.asp and clicked on the Solukhumbu and I got some crappy error. Seems like the designers of NTB are using, Zend (hope it is a licensed copy!) Now, going back to the main theme.

I am talking about high quality good size photos about Nepal would be enough to show what Nepal really is; although there are great videos showing Nepal Bandahas, Riots and all craps on Google and Youtube. But these sites need to be recognized. A good photo does not come out without time and money.
Here are 3 links that should satisfy most people who are looking for that great photos on Nepal.
First Phalano.com would be good enough but it does not show you the real Beauty of Nepal. People need much better quality of photos. Phalano is shrinking its photos by size and quality perhaps due to bandwidth problem, etc, but I doubt that. It it is tied with one of the so called `becoming new nepali news online site’ yet doing enough to get the clicks because much of the contents are written in short and users are diverted to affiliated sites such as emarriage (well, they call it ebibaha, or something link that or perhaps there will be a new one enepalifashion, or buy our NepaliGirls instead of Nepali NepaliNews; God knows, what drives these sites to add useless contents on a news portal ? I have no clue. Have they ever looked at CNN.com ? )

Here are my picks of the sites you must see to enjoy great

(When I mean great; large size photos of Nepal)

Well, that’s all for now.

Don’t shrink your snaps; show it full; let the world know your work; what Nepal is. If you are on a tight budget; get rid of the useless stuffs models, fashion, beauty tips for a Nepali women most of whom live on $1 a day and you are selling products $100 a day, where is your common sense ?

Photos of Male Models whose Parents have to work like a Dog only because of you; get a job or ask for money if your photo has been used on a entertainment site or news site that makes money by placing your photo besides an Ad. Or better, get your own website, show your own Nepali face, chest and everything, then start making money!

You have shought a lot about quality photos in offical websites. Thats great man!!!.

C’mne man this is the world full of marketing and communication. You won’t be able to sell your gold in commodity price if you do not advertise it. Therefore, fren lets give the best virtual pictures to our customer who never know what it is inside. But at the same time as you mentioned we should maintain the quality of the subjects if you wanna sustain your business. Artificial are more saleable then natural does.
