Google says welcomenepal.com may harm your computer!
Everyday, to keep myself updated on Nepal’s tourism industry, i glance over the online presentation of our tourism organizations. Some of them do a great job of offering upto the minute news which is very vital to my quest for peace and desire to promote a beautiful country Nepal.
Today, as usual, i am searching at google using the following key words all together : nepal tourism organizations. The result shows up. The top listing is of the most prominent website welcomenepal.com. Listing shows with what i could call it, a red tag that warns users - “This site may harm your computer”. The message is not in red color, perhaps google is not sure about the message!
I assume that google provides that warning when it finds a site offering files such as the wordpress documents or excel files or any files which may contain a computer virus.
I am also sure that such message will surely alarm users and keep them away such sites. But how does the google technology work? Does it just look at file types or does it really go inside to find the harmful content? Can it not be smart enough to say, This site will harm you, instead of saying may be.
If indeed the site does harm you, in what way? I doubt there are any harmful contents on our great tourism site. If you are not sure, just don’t download their ms word documents unless your computer has active and uptodate antivirus alive.
Visit the main site www.Welcomenepal.Com, it will not harm you! And guys working on this site, roll up your sleeves! Offer files in other formats such as pdf, and in html would be even lovely.
If indeed, google’s search technology has detected harmful contents on your site, then find out where they are and fix them as soon as possible. Because not only are you our inspirations but you are the leader as well.
