An Open Letter For Travelers of Nepal
As you climb up,
that beautiful mountain,
i saw smiles on your glorious face blocking the sun. I tried pushing the sun a bit but it was just like me, very eager to watch you!
You looked tired. You rested on a Peepal Chautari along with a Bharia and with your long walking sticks.
When you came into my tiny villages, villagers ran to grab you by hand. Huts with open doors and poorest people with smile and wide arms were all around you. Everyone would say “khana khanu vayo?” i would hear you say “ma ali kati Bhutayko Makaie khanchu ra ali kati Dhee Doo kanchu.”
You rested on a bed made of muds, slept well intaking my himalayan airs, woke up with beautiful dreams early to greet the sun. You kept the sunrise in your heart. Thanks
When you played,
with my kids, they gave you a name : “kuheeray or kuheri” and you could be from america or africa or antarctica and i would laugh with joys!
As you left my land,
returning to your family, i shed tears.
Wonder Where you are you now?
How is your heath?
Hope you are having a good life. Hope to see you again. This time with your family. — yours truly, Nepal
