NTB reports international visitors arrival to Nepal grew up by 5.8% for January 2007.
According to its press release,
Growth of tourist arrival by countries are

- US +33.6%
- India -4.8%
- Japan 41.6%
- South Korea +82.8%
- China -40.2%
- Malaysia -29.9%
- Singapore -47.3%
- Taiwan -27.4%
- Thailand +37.8%
- France +13.6%
- Germany +23.1%
- Italy +33%
- Spain +35.4%
- UK -0.7%
- Dutch +14%
- Austria -5.6%
- Belgium -4.9%
- Denmark -5.4%
Thanks a bunch NTB. We hope in future, you will at least show one single figure instead of all the percentages as they always seem to appear in your press releases.
Come february, xyz went up, xyz down, abc went up, that went to moon, this went to earth, job done!

Wasn’t the VP2007 launched with a set target to bring visitors to Nepal? Was the target just a promotion or real one. It’s one thing to release and another to accomplish. Got to bring half a million tourists to visit Nepal in 2007 and How much have we accomplished yet?

I paid a fee to Nepal Tourism Board, as I left Nepal in my last trip.
I remember it was at the Tribhvaan Airport in Kathmandu. Is my money is used to promote your country ? I think that’s a wrong idea, don’t you think so ?
Also loved this site with tons of goodies, simple and easy to follow. Keep pushing that NTB to the edges… Hope they are making good use of my money.
